Two ways to study.

  • Option 1 — Study at an Accredited Training Centre

    Tuition, support, learning material supplied by your training centre
    Your provider registers you for assessments and exams

  • Option 2 — Self-Study (Register directly with ICB)

    You register yourself on the ICB Student Portal
    Purchase ICB-approved learning material from an approved supplier
    You manage your own exam bookings and assessments

5 EASY STEPS

How it works

STEP 1

REGISTER
WITH ICB

All students (Training Centre or Self-Study) must first register on the ICB Student Portal to get a student number (no payment on initial registration but annual registration applies when booking an exam).

STEP 2

CHOOSE YOUR QUALIFICATION

Discover which internationally endorsed and self-regulated qualification or professional certificate is best for you and which to start with.

If studying with a Training Centre, they will advise you and supply your learning material

If Self-Study, you must purchase ICB-approved learning material

STEP 3

BOOK
YOUR EXAM

ICB exams are held throughout the year, either as an online exam or as a paper-based exam at a training centre or venue.

Distance and self study students book exam dates via the ICB Student Portal. Training centres manage exam bookings on behalf of classroom students.

Your Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) will be created on MACCI once your exam booking and payment is processed.

STEP 4

COMPLETE THE ASSESSMENTS

All assignments, and tests are done through your Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) on MACCI. This includes 3 Assignments and 2 Tests. The final exam for students who register for online exams is also on MACCI.

MACCI is used by ALL students — Training centre and Self-Study.

STEP 5

GET RESULTS & CERTIFICATES

Results are released about 7 weeks after the exam.

You’ll receive a Short Learning Programme Certificate for each subject, an ICB/IQB Qualification Certificate per level, and a FASSET NQF Qualification Certificate on completion (for NQF students).
