How Digital Portfolios Work

Learning Phases

Each professional certificate is broken into three manageable learning phases, with assessments to help you stay on track

  • Portfolio of Evidence (Assignment 1, 2, 3 and Test 1, 2) – 30%
  • Final Exam – 70%
  • Pass Mark – 60%

MACCI

MACCI is ICB’s online assessment platform. It gives you access to your Digital PoE (Portfolio of Evidence) and enables online testing.

Digital Portftolios

  • All PoE’s are completed on Macci (ICB’s PoE platform).
  • All tests are online and auto-marked immediately.
  • Assignments 1 and 2 are online and auto-marked.
  • Assignment 3 is to be downloaded, completed and uploaded by the PoE due date.
  • Final exams are either paper based or online. Please make sure to book for the correct type of exam.

Online Exams

  • All exams can now be taken online via MACCI.
  • Exams can be taken at work, at home, or even at a training centre, provided that the environment meets the requirements.

STUDENT PORTAL

The Student Portal is ICB’s secure online platform for student registration, exam bookings, and payments. It provides a convenient way to manage your studies.

Online Registration

  • All student and exam registrations are online  only.
  • Registrations are done via the student portal, with self-study and distance learners registering themselves.
  • Training centres register all classroom-based learners.

How MACCI works

  • Register via the Student Portal. Self-study and Distance learners register themselves, classroom-based learners are registered through their Training Centre.
  • Pay the relevant exam fees
  • Once booking clears, access your Digital PoE on MACCI
  • Complete PoE on desktop/laptop with Chrome
  • Some work can be done offline; uploads/downloads need internet
  • Final exam can be done online (stable, fixed-line internet required) or at a venue
