NQF levels
The National Qualifications Framework is a set of nationally-agreed principles and guidelines which are used to register and measure educational achievements in all sectors, including finance. The NQF's registration of ICB qualifications is your assurance - and your future employers' - that your education is current, valid and meets the strictest quality levels.
When you see 'NQF' after an ICB course title on this website, there'll be a number next to it too - e.g. NQF5. The number corresponds with an education level:
Further education and training:
- NQF3 - Grade 11 (National Certificate)
- NQF4 - Grade 12 (Further Education and Training Certificate)
Higher education and training:
- NQF5 - National Diploma or Certificate
- NQF6 - National First Degree or Higher Diploma
