Help ICB Help You - Assistance Available

The ICB has many support mechanisms available to you. You can e-mail the team on support@icb.org.za or live chat when you have a query or need help. Live chat is instant and can be accessed through www.icb.org.za. The live chat box appears on the bottom right hand corner of the screens as seen below:

Click on the light orange box and fill in the details requested, then start typing your message and click send. If the agents are busy live chat will send you a message telling you that the agents are busy and will ask you to send a message, you can then send the message you have already typed.

If you e-mail your query, the most important thing is to give your query the correct title in the subject line of the e-mail so that the system assigns it to the correct group for immediate assistance. If the above is not followed then the chances are great that your query goes into a different queue and won’t be answered immediately. So, what are those groups? Here is a glossary for you.

SUBJECT WHAT IT DEALS WITH
Compliance and Quality Management This goes directly to the Academic Team and involves queries regarding policy and procedure; adherence to policy and compliance both internally and externally; QMV’s and exam inspections; irregularities and exam irregularities
Provider accreditations This group deals with all queries relating to new applications; extension of scope; accreditation certificates & accreditation renewals; change of details update including new ICB co-ordinators; administrators; ICB facilitators so we can keep our database updated and ensure you receive news and invites to our special occasions which you don’t want to miss out on
RPL Recognition of prior learning is for those who would like to obtain credits or exemptions for previous qualifications relating to our programs. There is an application process and a fee is charged
Certificates Any query or challenge with Program or Fasset qualification certificates is for this query queue
Exam queries; changes or confirmations Exactly as it states – all queries regarding exams; changes to exam bookings or confirmations are dealt with here. Even postponements
Exam Entries All exam entries are sent here and then the agents enter students for the exam. This is for Correspondence students as you can book exams on the Provider Portal and only if you have problems then you can make contact or contact IT Help desk
Finance Department – Provider Accounts All queries relating to Providers and financials go to this queue
General Enquiries For general questions on the qualifications; how to register and the like
ICBA Anything you want to know about the ICBA can be lodged here. More about the ICBA later
IT Help Desk Provider and Learner portal queries are addressed through this queue as well as general queries and anything IT related to the Portal
Marketing

Portfolios and scripts in for marking Have a query about the submission of exam and/or PoE’s? Then use this group
PoE dispatch Not received a student PoE although the exam is booked? Then contact the PoE department through this group
Provider Portal If you are struggling with the Provider portal then contact the team that is there to assist you and help you
Results All questions regarding results can be sent through this group
Student Account queries Mostly for Correspondence students but should you wish to query a student account then this queue will assist you
Student data updates To update student details please use this queue
Student Proof of payments Students can send all proof of payments for exam registration; postponements to this queue

Remember to ensure the subject line reflects the question so that we can assign it correctly. If the subject line is misleading then the chances are that your query will go into a queue and won’t be answered immediately.
