Dear ICB When my soccer career went up in smoke, all I thought of was where my next pay cheque would be coming from. So I started to work at a construction company in Kimberley. My boss always used to say: "Monty, you're too smart for this." I got married… Read more »

Success story: Nkululeko Nyangiwe

Success story: Nkululeko Nyangiwe

My name is Nkululeko Nyangiwe and I'm a researcher in animal science for the Department of Agriculture in the Eastern Cape.

I started studying at the ICB in February 2013, because of my lack of knowledge in accounting. My biggest problem was that I was unable to help my Grade 10 child with his accounting homework.

It's been tough to familiarise myself with accounting work, as I never did it at school. But now my child and I are doing our accounting homework together. We're achieving positive results and that makes it feel very rewarding.

It is my ambition to enroll for an MBA at an educational institution, and the ICB is giving me the background knowledge to do so.

It's worth studying through the ICB. Their material is so clear, and their guidelines and videos simplify the whole equation.
