Success story: Bronwyn Welgemoed

Success story: Bronwyn Welgemoed

My name is Bronwyn Welgemoed and I'm a Senior Bookkeeper for an IT company in Port Elizabeth.

I started my ACP in 2008, while working as a receptionist. I wanted to further my career and accounting has always been interesting to me.

Since studying part-time, I've changed roles within my company from Assistant Student Bookkeeper to Senior Bookkeeper, and managing the finances for the company.

It was tough to study part-time, while working full-time. And recently having a baby!

Studying, working and being with my family has been very rewarding. And knowing that I can do it and be an example for my daughter.

I want to complete the ACP and even go further towards a Chartered Accountant. The ICB has helped by offering these modules at a reasonable price and with books that are easy to follow.

The ICB's staff are always helpful. All you need to do is ask. All their programmes assist in furthering your career.

I'd like to thank the ICB for this opportunity and for being an institute which can be relied upon.
