Sandile is from the Vaal Triangle in Johannesburg and works for a Mediterranean shipping company as a Shipping Administrator. He's been with the company since 2001.
After completing his studies in Entrepreneurship with Finance through Damelin Correspondence College in 2008, he enrolled to study ICB skills programmes in 2009. His ultimate goal was to be exposed to accounting and become a recognised professional. He's very grateful for Sheera Singh of Damelin Correspondence College Braamfontein for introducing him to the ICB qualification and also registering him as a student. She has been supportive from the beginning.
Sandile has been influenced by the skills attained from the ICB to start Bookkeeping, Tax for SMEs and Individual Tax.
His biggest challenge was having to travel early in the morning to attend to his studies - two hours before he had to start his work routine. It all worked out in the end, as the knowledge and skills that he acquired has helped him to become a recognised professional in the accounting field.
Sandile's ambition is to study further and become a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is highly confident that, with everything he has learned, his dream will come true with the help of the ICB skills and qualifications.
Although never exposed to accounting at school, Sandile believes that anyone with a dream to become a bookkeeper or accountant can do it. He feels that the ICB skills programmes are ideal courses for making this dream come true, but warnes that it takes a lot of practice and self discipline.
Sandile is proud to be associated with the ICB and feels priviledged to have acquired his highly recognised accounting qualification. He completed Technical Financial Accountant: National Diploma NQF in August 2011, and knows that this qualification will open more employment opportunities within the accounting field.
"I would like to express my gratitude to Wedaad, Taslima, Patsy, Mishkah, Sumaya and Ismail for all the support you gave me all these years - through thick and thin. May God bless you all and your families. Not forgetting the CEOs and Directors. Many thanks." - Sandile Ncube
