Success story: Balance, flexibility and support
Thrilled to be newly qualified as a Certified Junior Bookkeeper, Charlene du Plessis believes that hard work, perseverance and a great support system are the key ingredients of success.
Like many working women, Charlene finds it difficult sometimes to keep the right balance between being a professional, hard-working employee; an understanding and loving mother to her five-year old daughter; a caring wife - and a dedicated student.
Charlene credits her training provider, Instructability, with being a key support to her over the last year. In particular, their Virtual Lectures (PowerPoint presentations with voice-overs) meant she could ‘attend' workshops from home, at a time that suited her busy schedule.
But good course materials are not the only consideration when it comes to choosing a training provider - encouragement and support are important too. "They encouraged me when I started to doubt myself and were always available to give me the necessary guidance - even less than a week before an exam."
Charlene always looks forward to attending training workshops and increasing her knowledge. She is looking forward to taking on the ICB's Senior Bookkeeper Qualification next. We wish you all the best on your road to success, Charlene!
