Bursary winner: A letter from Zaino Fredericks

Dear ICB

My name is Zaino and I'm a 31 year old mother of four children. After working as a machinist in a clothing factory for six years, I resigned. I collected my Provident Fund - knowing that I was going to educate myself with it.

I looked at various institutions and chose to study with the ICB. The ICB was the best choice!

The study material is easy to understand, and having a choice when to write exams is very accommodating. As a full-time mom, that's very important for me.

However, as a mother of four, it's financially difficult. My dream is to get my qualification of Financial Accountant, and I know it's possible with the ICB.

It has become difficult to pay for my studies. I feel that I've come so far, and I don't want to give up on my dream just because I can't afford it any longer. Please give me the opportunity to finish my last three subjects?

I believe that I'm the perfect example to prospective ICB learners. If a machinist from a clothing factory and mother of four can fulfil a dream of becoming a Financial Accountant, then anyone can.
