This CPD is an introduction to independent review engagements and will provide a section by section overview of the review and related standards as issued by IFAC. Relevant sections of the Companies Act 2008 and regulations will be integrated in the presentation whilst delegates will be provided with sample working papers for the conduct of a succesfull independent review.
PURPOSE: To enable accounting officers and auditors to understand and apply the review standard.
The course includes a walk-through of the key concepts and major elements of a review engagement and provides tips for how to apply these ideas in practice.
COURSE METHOD & DELIVERY: 1/2 day seminar with presentation and discussion forums. Optional free online assessment available to obtain additional CPD points. Exetensive course notes, all relevant standards, and sample working papers included in the course pack.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Auditors and accounting officers, small and medium practitioners, members of professional bodies not yet members of IFAC, all those who are involved with the preparation of and reporting on financial statements for private companies including bookkeepers, accountants, directors and members of companies and close corporations.
