The Companies Act 2010 became an act on 9 April 2009. However "sections of the Act were found to be imbued with errors, while some of the regulations were considered ultra vires (beyond the powers), due to their not empowering provisions in the Act, nor enabling the Minister to issue them in order to achieve the Act's objectives. Amendments were thus required to rectify these provisions and ensure improved administration of the Act, hence the publication of the Companies Amendment Bill, 2010".

Consult on Fasset's 5-year SSP, a blueprint for the period 2011 to 2016
Fasset's Sector Skills Plan (SSP) is the official blueprint for determining the strategic skills development interventions offered by the Seta. The SSP is a plan for the period April 2011 to March 2016 and outlines the Seta's strategic direction towards skills development for the 5-year period. As part of our wide consultation process we are distributing the draft SSP to Fasset stakeholders for comment. We invite you to read through this document and distribute it within your organisation for comment and discussion.
