South African Institute of Tax Practitioners (SAIT)

The ICB works closely with the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners (SAIT). Any individual in South Africa that submits a tax return on behalf of any person must be registered with SARS as a Tax Practitioner. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

International Association of Bookkeepers (IAB)

The IAB is the longest established professional body for book-keeping. It was formed in 1973, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards in bookkeeping. It holds its examinations in over 90 countries throughout the world.

Members of the ICB who have completed certain of the ICB learning areas via ICB assessment, may apply, via the ICB for membership of the IAB at either their Member level or the Fellow level and upon successful application may use the designation MIAB of FIAB. The Institute of Financial Accountant (IFA)

The Institute of Financial Accountants was established in 1916 and is the oldest body of non Chartered Accountants in the world. It represents members and students in more than 80 countries, providing qualifications for those wishing to work in financial management and continuous professional development for qualified Financial Accountants. The Institute sets technical and ethical standards for all their members.

Members of the ICB who have successfully completed the National Diploma Technical Financial Accounting NQF 5 qualification, may apply to become Associate members of the IFA.
