New Micro-GAAP Seminar

The new South African Companies Act, 2008 will become effective on 1 July 2010. The new act mandates that all companies and close corporations prepare their financial statements in terms of a financial reporting standard. Failure to prepare financial statements in terms of an appropriate standard will result in criminal liability.

Training Providers

Training providers are required to be accredited by the relevant Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) body responsible for the relevant qualifications. In the case of the ICB qualifications, the relevant ETQA is Fasset, and Fasset have devolved the quality assurance aspect to the professional bodies.

The ICB as a Quality Assurance Partner of Fasset is responsible for accrediting training providers to provide the tuition towards the ICB qualifications.
